چکیده

Mossbauer measurements at 4.2sTs22 K and OsHosBO kOe are + reported in (Fe Salen Cl);a' a molecular complex containing two coupled Fe3 ions bridged by oxygen atoms. At 4.2 K only the ground state with effective spin S ;::: 0 is appreciably populated. Analysis of the magnetic field and temperature dependence of the magnetic hyperfine field yields an exchange constant J ;::: 6.7 cmI and a hyperfine field of 192 kOe per unit spin at each Fe3+ nucleus. In certain transition metal complexes, the paramagnetic ions are situated so that two or more of them cluster close to each other, but the clusters are relatively well isolated from each other. Such systems are found in nature, for example, in certain biologically important enzymes. 1, 2 The paramagnetic ions within such clusters can interact strongly with each other' and the interactions between clusters will be relatively very weak. We may speak then, of intramolecular magnetism. 3 Such situations are also of interest because they provide the possibility of studying exchange inter actions in finite systems. The simplest model for such a system is to consider the paramagnetic ions to interact via the classical exchange Hamiltonian

SEMICONDUCTOR TO TRANSITION IN FeS

Summarised here are the conclusions of an investigation by differential thermal analysis, magnetic susceptibility, Mossbauer spectroscopy, electrical conductivity and thermoelectric power on single crystal Fe0.996S. There is an increase in conductivity both parallel and perpendicular to the c-axis by a factor 102 at Ta (420 K). At low temperature the I. S. is characteristic of a non-metal but i...

Calcium Chloride catalyzed Intramolecular Oxa Michael addition of 2’-Hydroxychalcone to Flavanone

An efficient cyclization of 2’-hydroxychalcone to flavanone using calcium chloride as a catalyst was developed. The scope of the reaction was studied with substituted 2’-hydroxychalcone and these chalcones was converted into corresponding flavanone in good yield. The merits of this method are inexpensive and easily available catalyst, easy workup procedure, avoid use of toxic solvent

Ni6(N2H4)6(SO4)4(OH)2(H2O)8](SO4)(H2O)10 complex was prepared according to literature report. The reaction between aforementioned complex via sodium alkoxides as a reactants, were carried out in the solid state. The [Ni6(N2H4)6(SO4)4(OH)2(H2O)8](SO4)(H2O)10 undergoes an intramolecular two electrons oxidation-reduction reaction at room temperature and metallic nickel nanoparticles (Ni1-Ni5) was ...

An Efficient One-pot Synthesis of Dialkyl fumarates Mediated by inyltriphenylphosphonium Salt in the Intramolecular Wittig Reaction

An efficient three-component reaction of dialkyl acetylendicarboxylates and 2-Pyrrolidin in the presence of triphenylphosphine produces dialkyl 2-(2-Pyrrolidin-N-yl)-3-(triphenylphosphanylidene)succinate. These phosphoranes undergo mild intramolecular Wittig reaction to produce dialkyl (E)-2-(4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrol-2-yl)fumarate in excellent yields.

Isomerism and Hydrogen Bonding in the Cis-enol Forms of 1-(n-pyridyl)butane-1,3-diones: A Theoretical Study

Molecular structure, isomerism, conformational stability and intramolecular hydrogen bonding (IHB) of cis-enol forms of 1-(n-pyridyl)butane-1,3-diones (nPBD) (n = 2, 3, or 4) have been investigated by means of density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Energy differences for all possible nPBD cis-enol forms of isomers with respect to the most stable form of the correspondin...
